    The Origin of Fire.
-The origin of fire came from three main states; Oregon, Washington, Idaho. Most of the time they eat what that can find without cooking. The characters' [the Medicine Men] emotions were often prideful and arrogant. The Nez Perce tribe's actions torward the young boy were extremely disrespectful and unforgivable. The main moral of "The Origin of Fire" is; do not underestimate a person, they can always come out of the situation suprising you.

    Strawberries.
-Strawberries is originally from the Southeast of United States - now in Okaholma. The woman showed interest in her surroundings, at least in the very end. The woman displayed anger and bitterness leading onto compassion by walking swiftly away from her husband and on her way, she stopped to a hault becayse she stepped into a bush of strawberries for its aroma was so attractive. The man was first annoyed, hungry, lonely, sad, then desperate to be with his wife once again. A small disagreement shouldn't break up a close relationship with loved ones.

    Sleepy Hallow.
    - Tarrytown, New York is known for originating the legend of Sleepy Hallow. Ichabod Crane wanted to be with Katrina meanwhile, the handsome Brom is also falling head over heels for her. Brom wanted to scare Ichabod by telling him about the Headless Horseman. I think this legend was told was told just because it's a pretty good story to tell to kids when they want a bit of a scare. ;]

    Johnney Appleseed.
    - Johnny Appleseen was originated from Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Northern Indiana. Johnny traveled around the eastern territory donating appleseeds to foreign travelers and frontiers. Johnny believed that he was sent to dedicate his life sahring "God's Fruit"; the apple. He also believed in treating nature with a tremendous amout of care all throughout his life. This legend was probably exaggerated to teach people of Johnny Appleseed's love and respect for life and nature.

    Racing The Great Bear.
-Racing The Great Bear probably came form somewhere in the forest... Swift Runner occassionally listens to the wise elders with his dog alone near the campfire. Swift Runner was determined to kill the Great Bear to save the Great Peace and his tribe regaurdless of how horribly his own people treated him. He also wants to prove that he isn't weak and lazy. I say this was written to prove people from how much pain exclusion is but also how powerful courage is.

    Otoonah
    - Otoonah came from in the Arctics or Antarctica, whoever lives there anyways. Otoonah was banned from her own family because of the scarity of food- therefore, forced to suvive on her own on another island. She adapted to her surroundings and learned to hunt and create a new home for herself. Otoonah, as angry as she was, tried saving her unloyal brothers even after they betrayed her and stole from her. She survived out of her determination and her perseverence after being emotionally burned by her whole family.

The Girl in the Lavender Dress.
-The Girl in the Lavender Dress was created in New Hampshire. The weater is freezing cold and snowy during a war. Ghosts are mainly transparent so how she wear the grandma's sweater? It isn't a proven fact  that ghosts aren't able to cross water.
The ghost really could have appeared since the sweater was found neatly folded next to it's grave.

    The Woman in the Snow.
    - The Woman in the Snow was originated in Alabama. The weather was extremely unbearable, the girl even froze to death along with her sick baby. All the woman wanted was a ride to hospital to relieve her baby's fever. After having a African American bus driver replace the horrible original driver, Eula Mae is able to cuddle with her baby on the bus to reach her final destination to the hospital. Eula Mae disappeared right after she got out of the bus.

He Lion, Bruh Bear, And Bruh Rabbit.
-He Lion, Bruh Bear, and Bruh Rabbit was created from somowhere in the east Virginia where slavery was most populated. This folktale celebrates human stength, but at the same time, makes fun of human strength. It celebrates human stength by telling how Bruh Bear and Bruh Rabbit stands up to the Lion which is portrayed as the overseer drunk with power. It makes fun of human strength by showing how some people who are drowned in power, are not likely to control themselves. Animals can't talk; but lions do roar and look slightly arrogant. This folktale relates to slavery and how the overseer was drunk with power.

    John Henry.
-John Henry originated from West Virginia. This folktale celebrates human stength becuse John Henry depended his willpower and strength into beating the steamdrill because it was taking over his job. I have doubts about how true this story is because, honestly, could he really smile at an animal and it runs along? [unless his smile was really that horrific] He died instantly after outdoing the steamdrill. John used all his might dedicating his strength to fight for what he really wanted.

    Paul Bunyan.
-Paul Bunyan was originated from the Pacific northwest - Northern U.S. It's pretty neutral, I guess it was made up just for the heck of it. No one can grow over 20 feet, let alone 50 feet! There's no such thing as the Blue Snow make a calf that gigantic. The moral of this story...American people are BIGGG.

  • My friends, Fiona and Alison thought, WOAHH.Practically all the guys you like from school names' start with a "J" &&I'm thinking, they're right. Except for Derek, but he's a douche so forget him. So, let's see. Jones, Johns, John Halpin, Jason, Jack, Jonah, and John Portis. DANG. This is awkwardly weird. && the weird thing is, my favorite letter is J. -___-" coincidence? I think not.

So last night after I was done eating at the Native Restraunt, I called up Rosalyn and talked about Jones. OMG. Why is he so effing cutee?! But the 7th graders think the total opposite. They think he's
    1. Perverted- He's a guy. It's branded into their minds to think about porn -___-"
    2. Retarded- If he was, would he really be teaching?
    3. They want him to die- why don't you die?
Retarded 7th graders. making a video about him.
    oh golly.
    they're dead.
